Ensemble Theatre Outreach Programs

Meet Sadie and Bessie Delany, two remarkable 100-year-old African-American sisters, who share their courageous stories of struggle and achievement in the 20th Century.

Meet our troupe of
feisty gals featuring Elsie Day the
Sunshine Lady, Church-goin’ Norma, Hazel Brown the Fried Chicken
Lady, the Westside Market Lady and other sassy lassies, sporting
some of the most outrageous hats
imaginable. They’ll brighten any room with their hilarious and sometimes
touching stories. With great related art project activities, delightful
entertainment just for seniors!

Great American writers Langston Hughes and Lorraine Hansbury
come
to life in this lively production of Ensemble’s award-winning Panorama
Series comprised of their plays, poetry and journal entries.

Three sisters spin the tale of their family and an era. Their father,
a former Union soldier uses his post as county treasurer and tax
collector to amass a Texas plantation. Preserving that plantation
becomes a central issue for his daughters. The Carpetbagger’s Children
explores the bonds of family to the land that has shaped their
identity, influenced their destiny and, like the family itself,
undergoes dramatic change.
“Teachers rave about the culturally diverse productions. Our school
district will continue to taking advantage of these exciting programs.”
