TYLER WHIDDEN 
(Joe)

Tyler is a playwright and comedian who was born and raised in Cleveland. After many years of living and performing in Seattle and Chicago, he's happy to be back home with Ensemble. His new play, Dancing With N.E.D., will be part of Ensemble's season in March. He looks forward to working with Ensemble again and would like to thank Ian, Celeste, and his smoking hot wife, Angela. Boom.

COLSTON (SKIP) CORRIS *
 (Fayette/Grady)

Skip is pleased to be appearing in this important play with Ensemble Theatre.  Most recently he participated in the national Project 1 Voice, playing Bill O’Wray in the Cleveland staged reading of Alice Childress’ Trouble in Mind.  In the Ensemble/Karamu Theatre collaboration, he played Cap’n Dan in  THE GREAT WHITE HOPE, one of the first plays he ever saw.  He also appeared and toured with ODT’s JOURNEY in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  Locally, Skip has appeared at Karamu, Carousel Dinner Theatre, The Halle, Black River Theatre Company, Beck Center , Clague Playhouse, Greenbrier/Cassidy, and others. He mostly enjoys sitting in the audience with his wife Roseanne appreciating the talents of his gifted children -- singer Nicole, puppeteer David, and artist Michael.  By day, Skip works with inmates as a teacher for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections, where he is also a certified Hostage Negotiator.

LAYLA SCHWARTZ (Edna / Dr.Benjamin)

Layla is thrilled to be a part of this production in the new Ensemble home.  She recently appeared in Love’s Labour’s Lost (Boyet) with the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival.  Other Cleveland credits include An Ideal Husband (Mrs. Marchmont), The Comedy of Errors  (ensemble) at Great Lakes Theater, A Blonde in a Comic Book Shop (the Blonde) for Dobama Night Kitchen, two productions for LittleBox at Cleveland Public Theater, and Crave (C) with Theater Ninjas. Originally from Chicago, and a graduate of Lawrence University, favorite credits include Finding the Sun (Abigail),  Stage Door (Kaye Hamilton),  Blithe Spirit (Edith), The Mousetrap   (Mollie), Il Campiello (Donna Catte), and The Whiteheaded Boy (Ann). WILLIAM GOFF 
(Irv/Phillips)

William is a graduate from Baldwin Wallace with a BA in Theater. He has appeared in many shows in the greater Cleveland area such as Don't Dress for Dinner at the Spotlight Theater, Othello and Love's Labour's Lost at the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, and the premiere of Dr. Jack B. Winget's A Nightmare of Crime. William is excited to be a part of Ensemble Theater's production of Waiting For Lefty, and sends out special thanks to the cast and crew for a job well done! CHRIS BIZUB 
(Miller)
Chis excited to be performing at Ensemble Theatre for the very first time, and in their brand new space to boot!  He is currently studying for his Masters in Arts Administration at the University of Akron.   When he’s not hitting the books as a grad student, Chris spends his spare time acting and directing locally.  Some of his more recent roles include Derek in Mouthful of Birds, Geronte in Scapin, Sam Byck in Assassins, and Butch Honeywell in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. His recent directing credits include All in the Timing (Sure Thing) at Broadview Hts. Spotlights Community Theatre, Date Night as part of FusionFest 2010 at The Cleveland Play House, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged] at Baldwin Wallace College.  His future plans include working for a prominent non-profit theatre, and start his own acting company.



ALLEN BRANSTEIN (Voice and Man)

Allen is very excited to be working with his director Ian and Ensemble Theater again.  He has worked for Cleveland Shakes Fest, Great Lakes Theater, Dobama, Theater Ninjas, Red Hen, Beck Center, the Cleveland PlayHouse and anyone else that would have him.  Previous shows with Ensemble include The Man Who Came to Dinner and Burial at Thebes.  He has been in a few movies,writes and performs vaudeville comedy with The Mike and Al Show and would like to thank Paula because he can.




KATIE NABORS (Stenographer)

Katie recently transplanted to Cleveland from Detroit. She was seen in her Cleveland debut last year in The Underpants as the role of Louise Maske,  directed by Matthew Earnest at the Beck.  In Detroit, she was most recently seen on stage with Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka in the Michigan premier of Kong’s Night Out (Ann Darrow) at Meadow Brook Theatre, which is where she also was seen in Biloxi Blues (Daisy Hannigan). Katie has performed internationally in Greece and Ukraine. She performed throughout Greece in an English touring production of the anti-war play Lysistrata (Kalonike) and while in Ukraine she performed in a Ukrainian/English bi-lingual production of Medea (Young Medea). Katie holds a BFA in theatre performance and dance choreography from Oakland University in Michigan.  She is currently apart of Matthew Ernest's new works theatre company The Lunar Stratagem. 


KATIE ATKINSON (Workers Chorus)

Katie was recently seen spouting iambic pentameter in Cleveland Shakespeare Festival's Othello as Bianca and Love's Labour's Lost as Maria, so it's a nice change of pace to just yell short words instead. Other favorite acting credits include Romeo & Juliet (Benvolio), Carousel (Louise), AIDA (Chorus), and two separate productions of The Vagina Monologues ("The Flood" / "Memory of Her Face").  A 2009 graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University, Katie holds a degree in Theatre and Creative Writing. She's currently working on a few original plays, and her poem "La Sirena" can be found in the May 2009 issue of the online literary magazine Mayday.




KATIE WILKINSON (Florrie) 

Katie is proud to be in her first production at the Ensemble Theatre. Katie is a freshman at Shaker Heights High School. Recent credits include Ginnette and Marvalyn in Almost Maine, The Wife in Blood Wedding, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town and Ismene in Antigone. She would like to thank everyone involved in making this production a fabulous experience. 



JAMES RANKIN ( Sid )  

James is very ecstatic to be working for Ensemble. He is currently a student at Cuyahoga Community College, but spends as much time as he can afford auditioning and working around the Cleveland area for different theatres. Some of his past roles include: Brad Majors in Rocky Horror Picture Show for North Shore Musical Theater, Cleante in The Miser for The Clague Playhouse, Captain Lombard in And Then There Were None for Huntington Playhouse, John Proctor in The Crucible for the Cardinal Theater, Judd Fry in Oklahoma for the Cardinal Theater, and he has worked for Cleveland Public Theater on a Little Box Production. He would like thank Frank P, Bronwyn H, Doug F, Matt D, his family, and the people here at The Ensemble Theatre.


RYAN LUCAS (Clayton/Henchman)

Ryan is a Lake Ridge Academy and Denison University graduate. He was a member of the Burpee's Seedy improv comedy troupe and has recently begun performing in the Cleveland area; often with the Theater Ninjas (Jaques Lacan, "Who Shot Jaques Lacan?"; Luigi "The Excavation") He would like to thank Cassie Neumann for being so darling. This is Ryan's first show with Ensemble.




STEVE VASSE-HANSELL (Agate)

Stephen returns to the Ensemble stage for the seventh time and is proud to participate in this 'new hope' that is Ensemble Theatre!  He is a 30 year veteran of the stage as an actor, designer, director and writer.  Amoung some of his favorite roles are "Scrooge" , August is Tenesee Williams' "Something Cloudy, Something Clear",  M.C in "Cabaret", and James in "That Championship Season" for Ensemble with Don Bianchi directing.  He has also designed several sets for Ensemble.  Stephen is also the beneficiary of a Joseph Jefferson citation nomination (Chicago) for Best Director for Blind Parrots Productions' award winning original play "A Living Newspaper".  He is also an Eagle Scout and an assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 22 in Cleveland Heights.  


DAVID HUNDERTMARK 
(Dr. Barnes)

David is thrilled to be returning to Ensemble Theatre, having appeared as Mr. Stanley in  The Man Who Came to Dinner in 2009.  In 2010, he appeared as the Judge in The Chalk Garden (Clague) and as Blore in And Then There Were None (Huntington).  2011 has seen him as Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind (Brecksville) and Mr. van Daan in “The Diary of Anne Frank” (Olde Towne Theatre).  Other favorite roles have included Norman in On Golden Pond, Proctor in The Crucible, Sidney in Deathtrap, Honore in Gigi, Pickering in My Fair Lady, the Mayor in The Music Man, Saunders in Lend Me a Tenor, Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Velasco in Barefoot in the Park, Sam in The Cemetery Club and the judges in To Kill a Mockingbird and Miracle on 34th St..  He resides in Lakewood and is a retired public school teacher and real estate broker, now teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and being a grandfather to seventeen-month-old Liam David Francois.


JOEL RATHBONE (Stage Manager): Joel has been a freelance Stage Manager for over ten years in Cleveland.  He has managed productions for Playhouse Square, Cleveland Public Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Company, Dobama Theatre Company, Cleveland Shakespeare Company, Lakeland College, and Charenton Theatre Company.  As always, he couldn’t do it without the support of his friends and family, and thanks them for everything they have done for him!
